neck pain

Hello! Neck pain is a really common issue that brings many people to chiropractors like us. Did you know it’s actually the fourth most common cause of disability? That’s why it’s important to take it seriously and seek help if you’re experiencing it.

There are several factors that can increase your chances of getting neck pain. Stress, poor sleep, and being out of shape can all play a part. If you’ve had neck pain before or experienced a physical injury, your risk can be even higher.

One significant factor we often see is job dissatisfaction or feeling unsupported at work. These feelings can contribute to neck pain, so it’s important to address both the physical and emotional aspects when managing your discomfort.

If you’re struggling with neck pain or any related issues, we’re here to help. Our goal is to not only relieve your pain but also to help you understand what might be causing it and how to prevent it from coming back.

Here at Abingdon Chiropractic Clinic, we specialise in manual therapies like manipulation, massage, and rehabilitative exercises, which are highly recommended for both recent and long-standing neck pain issues [7]. Research strongly supports manipulation as particularly effective for acute neck pain, though evidence is slightly less conclusive for chronic cases [8] [9]. It’s worth noting that neck pain research is not as extensive as that for back pain, so we approach our findings with careful consideration, knowing future studies may refine our understanding.

From our experience, patients who respond well to chiropractic care often see improvements early in their treatment journey [11].

This clinic has literally changed my life. I originally went there because I could hardly turn my head: reversing the car was really difficult! The clinic fixed my problem and I now go regularly to keep things in good shape. The annual check is also very useful and it is good to get the reassurance that there isn't much wrong despite my advancing years. I have no hesitation in recommending this clinic to anyone.

I have been a patient of Andrews for more than 15 years. He is always very friendly and welcoming, he takes time to ask you how you are and listens to your concerns. His holistic approach including acupuncture, massage and manipulation if necessary have certainly helped to keep me fit and active.

I live in Malaysia but visit Abingdon every year. I had heard very good things about the Abingdon Chiropractic Clinic but I didn't realise how true they were until I had my first appointment with Andrew today! I was amazed at how professional and at the same time how friendly he is. The appointment didn't feel hurried and he took a wholistic approach. He discovered something about me in a few minutes that I hadn't known in my 61 years!! So wherever in the world you are from, if you're ever near Abingdon and need a chiropractor, look no further than the Abingdon Chiropractic Clinic. I thoroughly recommend it!
