It went the wrong way!

When we see patients with arm pain, a trapped nerve in the neck is one of the possible causes. When this occurs, one of the reflexes, most commonly the triceps reflex will be diminished, or even absent. Occasionally though, when we test the reflex, it can create the opposite movement in the arm. The reflex goes the wrong way! This is known as an ‘inverted reflex’ and is a warning sign to the chiropractor. Find out what causes this in this short video:
