Is there a relationship between joint pain and the weather? Do chiropractors see more patients when the weather is bad? Spurred on by an article that he read in the BMJ recently, Andrew discusses these topics in this video!
I have been going to Andrew's Abingdon Chiropractic Clinic for about 20 years, which on it's own speaks volumes, mostly this is my 4 annual visits, to keep me in shape; other interim appointments are for those specific back problems that arise from time to time. Andrew is always helpful and professional in all treatments with my health, if he spots something outside his remit , he will write to alert my GP.
Had a sever pain in my lower right leg, which came on suddenly. The Doctors suspected a blood clot at first, so sent me to the Churchill Hospital who did a scan, nothing; so then was sent to Abingdon Hospital for an x-ray on my lower back and leg, apart from some arthritis it was clear but the pain was still there, so my Doctor said she thought I may have a trapped nerve. Went to the Abingdon Chiropractors and saw Tara who was excellent and she quickly made a similar diagnosis to my Doctor. The outcome being that I had about 6 sessions with her and now I am fully back to normal, so I am very happy to totally recommend the clinic to anyone who have similar problems.
Thirty years ago I was fortunate to find Andrew who has given me expert treatment and excellent advice every few months to maintain mobility. I am now in my nineties and still benefitting from Andrew's care and attention which goes way beyond what one would normally expect from a qualified chiropractor.
I’ve been seeing Andrew for over 16 years about every 3 months unless I have a problem and wIthout this treatment I would have dreadful back pain. The bonus is that every other part of my body gets checked over too. Andrew is highly knowledgeable on all health matters and I totally trust him for advice. The annual review is particularly useful especially now that most GP surgeries are too busy to perform all over checks. All that and such a friendly, place to visit - if Andrew wasn’t a chiropractor he could be in recruitment as all of his receptionists over the years have been amazing!
I thoroughly recommend Abingdon Chiropractic Clinic - the care I receive there is always excellent and professional.Andrew,Tara and all the staff are caring, friendly and helpful- and the treatment given is carefully explained. There is no pressure to sign up to lengthy treatment courses,as is so often the case in many other clinics.I am particularly impressed by the abdominal ultrasound imaging, which gives a very useful overview of abdominal pathology-and which can often explain some of the multiple potential causes of back pain- and is a service which is rarely offered in other chiropractic and other clinics. This,in my opinion, makes Abingdon Chiropractic Clinic outstanding.
I have been seeing Andy for the past 20 odd years. I moved from some acute pain at the start to a maintenance programme following the resolution of the acute pain. Andy has been a fantastic practitioner with a wealth of experience and the confidence to add to his skill set in the form of his ultra sound scanning. I could not recommend him and his partner, Tara, more highly.
This clinic has literally changed my life. I originally went there because I could hardly turn my head: reversing the car was really difficult! The clinic fixed my problem and I now go regularly to keep things in good shape. The annual check is also very useful and it is good to get the reassurance that there isn't much wrong despite my advancing years. I have no hesitation in recommending this clinic to anyone.
